Sports Mole looks ahead to the Yorkshire derby between Leeds United and Huddersfield Town in the Championship this weekend.

Huddersfield Town have won just once in the Championship this season, and face a Leeds United side on a three-match unbeaten run when they travel to Elland Road this weekend.

Huddersfield's struggles so far this season have left them in the relegation zone, although the side did secure their first point under new manager Chris Powell last time out, sharing a goalless draw with Wigan Athletic.

Danny Ward lasted just 45 minutes in the last match, as Powell sent Sean Scannell on in his place at half time, which could indicate that the latter will be brought into the starting lineup for the trip to Leeds.

Meanwhile, managerless Leeds, who are currently under the leadership of caretaker Neil Redfearn, have caused a few surprises in their last couple of outings, with seven points from their last three matches.

The Elland Road side showed resilience to come from behind and beat Bournemouth 3-1 in midweek, moving them up to 14th in the Championship table.

Sam Byram returned from a three-match suspension to feature in the final 15 minutes of the victory, and may have done enough to be considered for a start.

It is expected that Alex Mowatt will miss the match after sustaining a toe injury earlier this week, but it is not expected that he will be sidelined for long after X-rays ruled out a fracture.

When the teams met at Elland Road last season, Leeds recorded an emphatic 5-1 win over their Yorkshire rivals.
