A first-half strike from Nikola Zigic was all that was required for Birmingham City to record their sixth win a row this evening.
Visiting Leeds United enjoyed large spells of possession, but they were unable to breach the home side's rearguard at St Andrews.
The winning goal came after 35 minutes, with Serbian striker Zigic turning in a cross from veteran full-back Stephen Carr.
Substitute Chris Wood spurned Birmingham's best chance to extend the lead late in the game, seeing his effort saved by Paul Rachubka.
However, it didn't prove costly as the Blues moved up to eighth in the Championship table.
