Leicester Women will look to move off the foot of the Women's Super League table when they play host to Liverpool Women on Saturday.
The Foxes are aiming to claim consecutive victories, while the visitors are hoping to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.
Match preview
After picking up one point from four games, Leicester ended their poor spell of form with a dramatic 2-1 victory over relegation rivals Reading in their most recent outing.
The contest looked to be heading towards a draw when Sam Tierney's opener was cancelled out by Charlie Wellings, but Leicester managed to snatch all three points in stoppage time thanks to Carrie Jones's late winner.
With five matches to play, Leicester are propping up the WSL table, but they are only a point adrift of Reading, who have played a game more.
The Foxes have not played since beating the Royals on April 2, ensuring that they are well-rested ahead of the relegation run-in.
They have the chance to complete a league double over the Reds after winning 1-0 when the two sides met in the league in February.
Liverpool have performed well in their first season back in the top flight since the 2019-20 campaign, with the Reds currently sitting in seventh position.
Last weekend, the Merseyside club came from a goal down to beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 thanks to Ceri Holland's second-half brace.
The win extended Liverpool's unbeaten run to four matches and moved them nine points clear of Saturday's opponents.
They have relied heavily on their home form, with the Reds one of two teams yet to win a WSL away game this season.
However, they already have experience of winning an away encounter against Leicester this season, after cruising to a 4-0 victory in October's League Cup meeting.
Team News
Jess Sigsworth returned from a lengthy layoff to make a late substitute appearance in Leicester's win over Reading, but she has suffered a setback and will miss Saturday's encounter.
The hosts are also unable to call upon Shannon O'Brien and Lachante Paul, who are working on their respective recoveries from injury.
With the Foxes looking to claim consecutive victories, Willie Kirk could decide to name an unchanged lineup.
As for the visitors, Matt Beard has revealed that Leanne Kiernan and Niamh Fahey could return to training next week, but they remain sidelined for the trip to Leicester.
Gemma Bonner is also likely to miss out, while Yana Daniels will have to be assessed after missing the win over Brighton with a knock.
Like their hosts, Liverpool could also name an unchanged starting XI as they look to claim consecutive victories.
Leicester Women possible starting lineup:
Leitzig; Bott, Howard, Plumptre, Nevin; Mace, Tierney; Cain, Whelan, Jones, Siemsen
Liverpool Women possible starting lineup:
Laws; Koivisto, Robe, Matthews, Hinds; Nagano, Keanrs, Holland; Van de Sanden, Stengel, Dowie
We say: Leicester Women 1-1 Liverpool Women
After going four games without defeat, Liverpool will be in confident mood, but having failed to win any of their eight away league games, we think that the Reds will have to settle for a point.
