Two sides sitting level on seven points will face off on Sunday when Liverpool Women play host to Leicester Women in the Women's Super League.
The home team are winless in three competitive matches, while the visitors have taken a point from their last two games.
Match preview
Liverpool have experienced a drop-off in form after beginning the campaign with consecutive victories over Arsenal and Aston Villa.
After getting off to a positive start, their first defeat of the season took place against Sunday's opponents in their opening League Cup group game on October 11.
They were unable to bounce back from their 2-1 loss to the Foxes, as they fell to a narrow defeat to local rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Matt Beard's side were seemingly on course to return to winning ways before the international break when Marie Hobinger opened the scoring in their away meeting with West Ham United, however, a 95th-minute equaliser from Japan international Riko Ueki denied the Reds their third win of the season.
While Liverpool would have been disappointed to miss out on three points against the Hammers, they can be pleased with their defensive efforts this season, having conceded just two goals in four league games - only Man City boast a better record.
Leicester, meanwhile, have made an encouraging start to the campaign after spending the last two seasons competing in the lower reaches of the WSL table.
After kicking off the season with victories over Bristol City and Everton, the Foxes beat Liverpool in the League Cup to claim a third consecutive win across all competitions.
Willie Kirk's side extended their unbeaten start with a 1-1 draw against Manchester United, but their fine form was ultimately brought to an end by Man City in the final game before the international break.
Chloe Kelly's 10th-minute effort proved to be the difference between the two sides, ensuring that the Foxes fell to their first defeat of the 2023-24 season.
Despite falling just short against the Citizens, Leicester will be confident about their changes of claiming a positive result this weekend, having won their last three competitive meetings with Liverpool.

Team News
Liverpool will have to cope without the services of Ceri Holland, who has been ruled out after she picked up a calf injury while on international duty with Wales.
Leanne Kiernan remains sidelined for the hosts, but Shanice van de Sanden has proved her fitness and is expected to feature in the matchday squad for the first time this season.
Emma Koivisto will have to be assessed ahead of Sunday's contest after she sustained a hamstring injury in training.
As for the visitors, Kirk has confirmed that goalkeeper Lize Kop and striker Remy Siemsen are progressing well in their respective injury recoveries, although the pair remain unavailable for the weekend.
Kirk also said that he has one fresh injury concern ahead of Sunday's away trip, but stopped short of naming the potential absentee.
After dropping to the bench for the defeat to Man City, Belgium international Janice Cayman is in contention to start against Liverpool.
Liverpool Women possible starting lineup:
Laws; Clark, Bonner, Fisk; Parry, Nagano, Hobinger, Hinds; Kearns, Haug, Flint
Leicester Women possible starting lineup:
Leitzig; Bott, Howard, Thibaud, Nevin; Cayman, Whelan, Tierney, O'Brien; Cain, Petermann
We say: Liverpool Women 1-2 Leicester Women
With both teams level on seven points, Sunday's meeting is likely to produce a closely-fought contest, but the Foxes will draw inspiration from their recent head-to-head record, and we think that they will do enough to claim a narrow victory.
