Liverpool striker Fabio Borini has revealed that he was happy with his Anfield debut after he scored in Thursday's 3-0 Europa League qualifying win against FC Gomel.
The Italian netted his first goal for his new club to open the scoring as the Reds ran out 4-0 aggregate winners against the Belarusians.
"It was very important for me to start the game well at Anfield, in front of our own supporters, we had a great game since the start - press high, high intensity and that's what the manager wants and what we wanted and we enjoy this football," the 21-year-old told ESPN.
Borini joined Liverpool last month from Roma in a deal thought to be worth around £11m.
