Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Dejan Lovren could be fit in time to face Leicester City on Boxing Day.
The centre-back was stretchered off during the 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion at Anfield on Sunday, with initial reports suggesting that he could miss up to a month due to a knee injury.
However, Klopp suggested that Lovren could be back in training as early as next week and is in contention to take on the league leaders next Saturday.
"That was one of the best pieces of news after the West Brom game. It's not that serious," Klopp told reporters.
"If he could train next week from Tuesday or Wednesday, it would be an option for Leicester. I think after Leicester for sure he should be available again."
Liverpool take on in-form Watford at Vicarage Road this weekend in their final game before Christmas.
