Jurgen Klopp has named Daniel Sturridge in Liverpool's starting lineup for their League Cup quarter-final against Southampton at St Mary's.
The striker, who has been plagued by injuries in recent months, starts for the first time since the German took charge at the club in October.
The England international's inclusion is one of six changes to the side that beat Swansea City at the weekend, with Lucas returning from suspension to captain the side, while Alex Bogdan continues in his role as cup keeper.
Meanwhile, Ronald Koeman has made five changes to the Southampton side that slipped to a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League last time out.
Steven Caulker comes in at the back for injured captain Jose Fonte, while Graziano Pelle is recalled up front, and Jordy Clasie comes back in, having been an unused substitute at the weekend.
