Liverpool have set a new club goalscoring record following their thrashing of Watford at Vicarage Road in Saturday's early Premier League kickoff.

The Reds produced a five-star performance to hand Claudio Ranieri a heavy first defeat in charge of the Hornets, as Roberto Firmino bagged a hat-trick while Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah also got in on the act.

Personal records were broken all across the board on Saturday, but Jurgen Klopp's men have also earned a collective chapter of history with their five-goal drubbing.

Liverpool's win at Watford marked the ninth away game in a row in all competitions that they have scored at least two goals, a first for the Reds in their illustrious 129-year history.

Meanwhile, Mane became just the third African player to hit 100 Premier League goals, while Salah found the back of the net for the eighth game running.

The Reds remain second in the Premier League table and now turn their attention to Tuesday's Champions League showdown with Atletico Madrid. body check tags ::
