Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.
Sports Mole

A tantalising battle in the Premier League's top-four race takes place at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, as Liverpool welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Merseyside.

The Lilywhites fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Manchester United on Thursday night, as Pedro Porro and Son Heung-min cancelled out Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford's efforts.

Ryan Mason's side have entrenched themselves in fifth spot in the table ahead of Sunday's game, but they remain six points behind Man United having played two games more, and they will be leapfrogged by Liverpool should the Reds come up trumps at Anfield.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the showdown with Jurgen Klopp's side, who also came from behind in the capital to beat West Ham United 2-1 on Wednesday.

Hugo Lloris

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: Unknown

Number one goalkeeper Hugo Lloris suffered a hip injury in the first half of last weekend's 6-1 thumping at Newcastle United, and he subsequently sat out Thursday's clash with Man United. While he is not thought to be carrying a severe problem, he will miss the trip to Anfield.

Emerson Royal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: May 13 (vs. Aston Villa)

Emerson Royal remains on the recovery trail from knee surgery, having picked up an issue during the international break, and he is on course to return for the final two weeks of the campaign.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Rodrigo Bentancur has already missed two months of action with an ACL problem, and the Uruguayan midfielder will not be back on the pitch until September at the earliest.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

The injury-riddled Ryan Sessegnon continues to be plagued by a hamstring problem, and the 22-year-old is expected to remain sidelined for the trip to Anfield.

Yves Bissouma

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Yves Bissouma is stepping up his recovery from an operation to repair a stress fracture in his ankle, but the Mali midfielder is still some way off making his competitive return, and it is unclear if he will be back before the end of the season.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match, with Lucas Moura returning from a three-game ban on Thursday night.
