Liverpool have had a bid for Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker rejected by the Serie A club, according to a report.
The Brazil shotstopper has been in fine form for the Giallorossi this season, keeping 12 clean sheets in 27 appearances in all competitions.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, is thought to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper due to Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius both continuing to attract criticism from fans and pundits.
According to Italian outlet Il Tempo, Roma have told Liverpool that Alisson will cost £44m and they want to hold on to the player until at least the end of the season.
The 25-year-old, who joined Roma from Brazilian club Internacional in 2016, is contracted at the Stadio Olimpico until 2021.
