Los Angeles FC will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four MLS matches when they play host to Dallas on Wednesday.
The visitors, meanwhile, are currently enduring a poor spell of form after winning one of their last five matches.
Match preview
Los Angeles FC are currently leading the Western Conference by four points after losing just three of their 16 MLS games.
They enter Wednesday's contest in the midst of a four-game unbeaten run, with three of those matches yielding maximum points.
The latest of those victories took place at the Banc of California Stadium on Sunday, with Steve Cherundolo's side grabbing two second half goals to beat New York Red Bulls.
Cristian Arango gave the hosts the lead midway through the second period before Diego Palacios struck three minutes later to wrap up consecutive home victories.
Los Angeles FC will be confident of picking up another positive result on Wednesday after losing just one of their nine MLS games.
While the hosts currently sit in top spot in the Western Conference, Dallas sit seven points further back in fourth place.
Wednesday's visitors had enjoyed a nine-game unbeaten run in the MLS before losing 2-1 to Vancouver Whitecaps on May 19.
That defeat caused Dallas to experience a slump in form, with their last five matches yielding only one win, although they missed the chance to claim three points away to fellow Texan side Austin FC on Sunday.
Paul Arriola and Brandon Servania both found the net to give Dallas a two-goal lead, but two late Austin goals denied Dallas the chance to clinch consecutive away wins.
Although Dallas have lost only one of their previous nine away MLS games, they have struggled to convert draws into victories on their travels, with four of their nine away matches resulting in the spoils being shared.
