Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has provided a reassuring update on the fitness of Eduardo Camavinga ahead of Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Frenchman came off with a blow to the knee in Saturday's La Liga win over Getafe, which was not enough for Los Blancos to deny Barcelona the 2022-23 La Liga crown.
Camavinga was seen grimacing as he iced his wound on the bench, but Ancelotti immediately played down fears of a serious problem for the 20-year-old after the game, and he is expected to be passed fit for the second leg.
With Wednesday's affair in mind, Rodrygo, Karim Benzema and David Alaba were all left out of the win over Getafe with apparent knocks, but each member of the trio should be given the all-clear here.
However, reports from Spain have suggested that Rodrygo could be dropped as Ancelotti tinkers with his system, given that Eder Militao is back from a ban served in the first leg.
Antonio Rudiger kept Erling Braut Haaland quiet in his teammate's place last week, so the ex-Chelsea man will be expected to hold his spot as the returning Militao joins him in front of Thibaut Courtois.
Alaba could therefore occupy the left-back spot, despite Ferland Mendy's recent return from a calf issue, as Dani Carvajal returns from a domestic ban to displace Lucas Vazquez on the right-hand side of the backline.
Assuming Camavinga is passed fit, the France international could move into the engine room alongside Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, as Federico Valverde is pushed further forward alongside Benzema and Vinicius Junior.
Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Alaba; Kroos, Camavinga, Modric; Valverde, Benzema, Vinicius Jr
