Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is hoping to end his disappointing run in cup finals at Wembley tomorrow.
City take on Sunderland in the League Cup final with the Frenchman having lost in the same final with Arsenal in 2011 before collecting a runners-up medal in last year's FA Cup final.
On both occasions, the winners of the competition were also relegated and Nasri is desperate to avoid a hat-trick.
"I've lost two finals against teams who went down at the end of the season and of course it hurts," he told reporters.
"You play to win trophies and they were opportunities to do that. It's especially disappointing when you are playing against a team where you are the favourites.
"When you go back home you play the game in your head and it's difficult."
City take on Sunderland at 2pm tomorrow.
