Celtic manager Ronny Deila has revealed that he wants to sign on-loan striker John Guidetti on a permanent deal.
The 22-year-old has scored five goals in seven games since joining the Scottish champions from Manchester City at the start of the season.
Following his instant impact at the club, Deila is keen on keeping the Swede at Parkhead beyond the end of the current campaign.
"This looks like his home. Celtic and John are suited together and we want to continue with that. I hope he stays here and we will do everything we can to make him become a Celtic player permanently," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"We are talking to everybody around him and to him also, and he is positive. His contract with City is only to the end of the season so we hope to do that as quickly as possible."
Celtic return to action on Wednesday when they host Partick Thistle in the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup.
