Niko Kovac has said that he is "confident" Bayern Munich will reach an agreement with Manchester City for winger Leroy Sane.
The Germany international is Bayern's top transfer target after turning down the offer of a new contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Bayern are in the market for a new wide attacking player following the double exit of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery at the end of last season.
Pep Guardiola wants Sane to stay at City, but opposite number Kovac believes that he will get his man.
"Our leadership is very engaged in the situation there," he told ZDF Sport. "I'm confident and assume that we will get him."
City will reportedly move for Real Sociedad's £67m-rated attacker Mikel Oyarzabal if they lose Sane to Bayern.
