Bayern Munich defender Dante hailed Wayne Rooney as a "world-class striker" ahead of their clash with Manchester United in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Rooney, who is currently nursing a toe injury, is a doubt for the game, but the Brazilian centre-back admitted that the England international will pose a significant threat to the Bundesliga champions should he play in the quarter-final second leg.
"I played against him for Brazil. He's a world-class striker," Dante told Bayern's official website.
"He reads the game well, he's lightning fast over the first few yards and he has a brilliant shot.
"We'll have to be on our toes at the back - even if he's not in the side. Manchester United have a lot of quality players."
The first leg ended with a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last week.
