David Moyes believes that Manchester United's performance against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday was their best under his charge.
The Red Devils got the better of the Bundesliga club 5-0 at the BayArena in the Champions League Group A on Wednesday to progress to the last 16 of the competition.
"I would probably have to say so," BBC Sport quotes the Scottish manager as saying, when asked if the victory in Germany was his team's best since he took over from Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer.
"To score five goals, we haven't done that, and to do that away from home is special. There were so many good performances. To come to Germany and get a such a good result, Leverkusen are second in the Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich, it gives an idea of where our performance and result stood.
"[The performance] was what I was hoping to get more often, there have been signs we are getting better but also signs we have been wasteful as well."
United are still unbeaten in the Champions League under Moyes.
