Sports Mole

Manchester United resume their quest for European success on Thursday when they travel to the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes to take on Granada in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final bout.

The Red Devils scraped a 2-1 aggregate victory over AC Milan to book their spot in the last eight, as Paul Pogba was the hero of the hour at San Siro after the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men also head into this game on the back of a victory in the Premier League, as Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood netted in a hard-fought 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: April 8 (vs. Granada)

Marcus Rashford lasted 72 minutes against Brighton before being forced off after a crunching tackle, and the forward is not thought to be carrying anything serious, but he remains doubtful for the first leg despite making the journey.

Alex Telles

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: April 8 (vs. Granada)

Alex Telles was absent from the matchday squad against Brighton after coming down with a bout of illness, and the left-back is facing a race to recover in time for Thursday, although he has travelled with the group.

Anthony Martial

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Anthony Martial sustained a knee problem during France's game against Kazakhstan in World Cup Qualifying, and Solskjaer has now revealed that the attacker could remain sidelined for the rest of the season.

Eric Bailly

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Eric Bailly, who is being tipped to leave the club in the summer, returned a positive coronavirus test while on international duty with Ivory Coast and is yet to return to the UK, so he will remain out for the next couple of weeks at least.

Juan Mata

Status: Minordoubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: April 8 (vs. Granada)

Juan Mata featured for the Red Devils against Newcastle United on February 21, but he has since been nursing a muscular problem and was not ready for the visit of Brighton. As a result, the playmaker is facing a race to be fit for the trip to his homeland, but he could be involved having made the squad.

Phil Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Phil Jones continues to recuperate from a serious knee injury and may not return before the end of the season, but the English defender is being heavily linked with a summer exit anyway.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players suspended for the first leg, but Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Brandon Williams are all one booking away from a ban.
