Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Europa League clash with Real Sociedad.

Manchester United will be bidding to finish above Real Sociedad to secure an automatic spot in the knockout round of the Europa League when they head to Spain on Thursday night.

The Red Devils are currently second in Group E on 12 points, three points behind leaders Real Sociedad, who have been victorious in all five of their games in the section.

The La Liga side beat Man United 1-0 in the reverse game at Old Trafford, so the English giants will need to triumph by a two-goal margin to ensure that they will be present in the next round.

Erik ten Hag's side will enter the European contest off the back of a 1-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the team's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Real Sociedad, who lost 2-0 to Real Betis in the league on Sunday.

Jadon Sancho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: November 6 (vs. Aston Villa)

Jadon Sancho, who was an unused substitute against West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday, has not made the trip to Spain due to illness.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: Unknown

Axel Tuanzebe is still out with a long-term issue, and the defender is not expected to resume training with the 20-time English champions until the early stages of next year.

Anthony Martial

Status: Out
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: November 6 (vs. Aston Villa)

Anthony Martial has been unavailable for selection since suffering a back injury against Everton earlier this month; he is now back in training but will not be involved in this match.

Brandon Williams

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: Unknown

Brandon Williams will again miss out on the European contest, but the defender has recently been back in training, and he could be back with the first team after the World Cup.

Raphael Varane

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: December 27 (vs. Nottingham Forest)

Raphael Varane suffered a hamstring injury against Chelsea last weekend, which will keep him out for Man United until after the 2022 World Cup.

Antony

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: November 6 (vs. Aston Villa)

Antony was not involved against West Ham due to a knock that he picked up in training, and the Brazil international is also out of the squad for this one.

MAN UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no suspension issues for the clash with Real Sociedad, although Mason Greenwood remains banned by the club until further notice.
