Sports Mole provides score predictions for the FA Cup fifth-round matches, including Chelsea against treble-chasing Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Portsmouth vs. Arsenal (Monday, 7.45pm)

Mikel Arteta has challenged his Arsenal players to respond to their shock Europa League exit by avoiding another slip-up when they head to Portsmouth in the FA Cup.

The Gunners fell to a 2-1 extra-time loss at the hands of Olympiacos and are now left battling for silverware on just one front ahead of Monday's trip to Fratton Park.

We say: Portsmouth 0-1 Arsenal

Portsmouth have been in superb form at Fratton Park and are looking to reach the quarter-final of the FA Cup for the first time since 2009-10, when they ended up reaching the final. This will not be an easy fixture for Arsenal, but they will be desperate to hit back from their European exit and we are backing them to edge through to the sixth round.

Chelsea vs. Liverpool (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Liverpool's treble bid enters a pivotal month in March, beginning with a tricky FA Cup fifth-round trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp's side travel to London off the back of a shock 3-0 defeat at Watford on Saturday, while Chelsea also suffered a disappointing result at the weekend as they were held by Bournemouth.

We say: Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool (Liverpool win on penalties)

These two sides went all the way to a penalty shootout when they met in the UEFA Super Cup in Istanbul earlier this season, and this could be a similarly tight contest. Liverpool are likely to be much-changed but will demand a response to Saturday's defeat, whereas Chelsea could field something closer to their first-choice XI but go into the game in poor form.

With replays no longer in effect from the fifth-round stage, we can see this one going all the way and Liverpool coming out on top in a shootout.

Reading vs. Sheffield United (Tuesday, 8pm)

Sheffield United head into Tuesday's FA Cup fifth-round tie at Reading having had extra time to prepare for the fixture due to Aston Villa's participation in the EFL Cup final.

Meanwhile, Reading play host to the Premier League outfit having returned to winning ways at the weekend with a 2-0 victory over Barnsley in the Championship.

We say: Reading 1-3 Sheffield United

Regardless of whether Wilder makes changes for this contest, we expect the Blades to come through. This could be an opportunity for a number of players to force their way into their starting lineup in the Premier League, a chance we feel they will take against their Championship opponents.

West Brom vs. Newcastle (Tuesday, 8pm)

Newcastle United face West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup fifth round on Tuesday night having failed to score in their last four Premier League fixtures.

While the Baggies remain top of the Championship table, Slaven Bilic watched his side fall to a surprise defeat at home to Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

We say: West Bromwich Albion 1-2 Newcastle United

Although both sides will most likely make alterations for this game, we expect the Magpies to edge past their hosts, potentially through a goal from Gayle who will be motivated to end his streak without a goal.

Leicester vs. Birmingham (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Out-of-form Leicester City will be looking to get their season back on track when they welcome Birmingham City to the King Power Stadium for Wednesday's FA Cup fifth-round tie.

The Foxes are winless in five matches ahead of the midweek visit of Midlands rivals Birmingham, who have drawn four in a row to make it 13 without defeat in all competitions.

We say: Leicester City 2-1 Birmingham City

Leicester have not lost a home FA Cup match against a side from a lower division since a 2-1 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers in March 2001, winning 10 and drawing one of their 11 such games since. Despite being on a poor run of form, we are backing them to get the job done on Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday vs. Man City (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Manchester City will be looking to build upon their third successive EFL Cup triumph as they travel to Sheffield Wednesday for the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday night.

Wednesday go into the clash with the reigning champions off the back of a disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Derby County in the Championship at the weekend.

We say: Sheffield Wednesday 0-3 Manchester City

Guardiola's side have not suffered defeat in the FA Cup since February 2018, and we're backing them to continue that remarkable run with a comfortable victory against an out-of-sorts Wednesday side.

Tottenham vs. Norwich (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Tottenham Hotspur play host to fellow Premier League side Norwich City in round five of the FA Cup on Wednesday night.

Spurs have lost three games in a row in all competitions, whereas Norwich picked up a morale-boosting victory over Leicester City last time out.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Norwich City

Tottenham have only progressed from one of their previous four FA Cup ties with Norwich. Defeat for Mourinho's men on Wednesday would be pretty disastrous, but we expect them to dig deep and pick up the win needed to kickstart their campaign.

Derby vs. Man Utd (Thursday, 7.45pm)

Manchester United will be looking to stay on course for a record-equalling 13th FA Cup triumph as they travel to Derby County for the fifth round on Thursday evening.

Derby currently sit 13th in the Championship following their 3-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.

We say: Derby County 1-2 Manchester United

There is no doubt that Rooney will be motivated to pull off an upset against a weakened United side, and the striker should hope to see that energy rub off onto his teammates. Nevertheless, the Red Devils are expected to have too much quality for Cocu's side and we're going for a narrow victory for Solskjaer's men.
