Manchester United winger Ashley Young has said that he is pleased to have scored against Stoke City in his side's League Cup victory on Wednesday.
The England international opened the scoring on 62 minutes as the Red Devils ran out 2-0 winners in their quarter-final tie at the Britannia Stadium.
"I was delighted to get the goal," The Mirror quotes him as saying. "I want to play more. I have been on the bench but I want to be in the team.
"The conditions were crazy, but I think the lads wanted to stay out there. The wind blew me into the boards when I scored."
United will take on Sunderland in the semi-finals of the competition in January.
