  • "Mo is more in than out" - Slot addresses Salah contract speculation

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has insisted that Mohamed Salah is 'not distracted' despite his recent comments about his contract situation.

As it stands, the Egypt international will be able to walk away for nothing when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Salah recently revealed that he is yet to receive a formal contract offer, claiming that he feels "probably more out than in" when it comes to his Liverpool future.

The Egyptian's comments sparked significant speculation and discussion about whether he will still be a Liverpool player at the start of the 2025-26 campaign.

Arsenal, Chelsea 'dealt blow' in Alexander Isak pursuit

Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly been presented with a potential stumbling block in their efforts to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

The Sweden international has established himself as a key player for Eddie Howe's side since he completed a move from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022.

Isak has made 79 competitive appearances during his time with the Magpies, scoring 40 goals and providing seven assists.

The 25-year-old has netted four of those goals across his 10 Premier League appearances this season, although he was unable to find the net in Monday's 2-0 defeat against West Ham United.

Man United 'considering' Osimhen as one of four striker targets

Manchester United have reportedly earmarked Victor Osimhen as one of four striker targets.

The Red Devils started life under Ruben Amorim with a 1-1 draw in Sunday's away clash against newly-promoted Ipswich Town.

The frustrating draw showcased Man United's struggles in the final third, having scored just 13 goals in 12 Premier League matches this season - only Southampton, Crystal Palace and Everton have netted fewer goals in the top flight.

Rasmus Hojlund has scored just one goal in eight Premier League appearances this term, while Joshua Zirkzee has mustered one goal in 12 league matches since he completed a summer move from Bologna.

Shock return: Chelsea 'considering move' to re-sign England international

Chelsea have reportedly identified Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi as a potential signing in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old made the switch across the capital from Stamford Bridge to Selhurst Park during the summer of 2021 after finding first-team opportunities hard to come by with the Blues.

Guehi has no doubt been worth the £18m that the Eagles paid for his services over three years ago, blossoming into a regular England starter, with the centre-back involved for Lee Carsley's side earlier this month.

The Cobham graduate also made a telling impact for the Three Lions at Euro 2024 in Germany, where he started alongside John Stones in defence due to the absence of Harry Maguire.

"Zubimendi seems a perfect option": Man City's January transfer priorities explored

Manchester City's form and their well-documented injury crisis has highlighted the need for Pep Guardiola to delve into the January transfer market and strengthen his squad.

The Citizens have lost each of their last five matches across all competitions, including a heavy 4-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last weekend, which has seen them fall eight points behind Liverpool at the top of the table.

Guardiola has been working with a depleted squad for several weeks and the most notable absentee has arguably been star midfielder and Ballon d'Or winner Rodri, who is ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury that he sustained in September.

Change of plan? Spurs to 'accelerate goalkeeper transfer' following Vicario blow

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to sign a new goalkeeper in January following the news of a serious injury to Guglielmo Vicario.

The 28-year-old picked up the issue during Spurs' four-goal demolition of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Vicario managed to soldier through the entire match for the Lilywhites despite suffering a fracture in his ankle during the Etihad contest.

The Italian was sent for a scan on the issue the next day and the results showed that the shot-stopper had broken his ankle in the top-flight match.

Step ahead: Man United have 'already made an approach' for £83.5m Sporting star

Manchester United have reportedly commenced the process of luring Sporting Lisbon attacker Geovany Quenda to Old Trafford.

The 17-year-old could be in line for a reunion with former head coach Ruben Amorim, who assumed control of the Red Devils from Ruud van Nistelrooy earlier this month.

Amorim took charge of his first Man United match on Sunday afternoon, when the 20-time English champions shared the spoils with Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

A second-minute strike from Marcus Rashford handed Amorim the perfect start to his managerial exploits in England, however Omari Hutchinson pulled one back from the Tractor Boys to force a split of the points.

Zirkzee replacement? Man United 'add Bundesliga winner' to striker shortlist

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface in 2025.

The 23-year-old was a major part of the side that were invincible on their way to the Bundesliga crown in 2023-24 under Xabi Alonso, scoring 14 top-flight goals from 23 appearances.

Rather unsurprisingly, Boniface was subsequently linked with a move away from BayArena, including to Premier League powerhouses Chelsea earlier in the year.

After featuring in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda earlier this month, the Nigeria international is currently nursing a hip injury.

Davies alternative? Man Utd 'earmark Serie A star' as transfer priority revealed

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez as an alternative to Alphonso Davies.

The Red Devils have been linked heavily with a January move for a left-back in recent times, with Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes also of interest to the 20-time English champions.

Hernandez has made a productive start to the league term for AC Milan, scoring two goals and providing two assists across 10 Serie A matches.

The 2021 UEFA Nations League winner also continues to be a regular on the international stage, featuring for France earlier this month against Israel.

Man United 'facing competition' for Nkunku signature in January

Manchester United will reportedly face fierce competition in January if they wish to sign Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku.

After his first season at Stamford Bridge was hampered by injury, the France international has been eager to make an impression under Enzo Maresca.

That has occurred during cup competitions, with Nkunku having contributed nine goals from his seven appearances in the EFL Cup and Conference League.

However, the 27-year-old has been provided with just one start and 163 minutes of action in the Premier League, that including a 58-minute outing against Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season.

Arsenal, Spurs among clubs 'monitoring' highly-rated Hammarby winger

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly contemplating an approach for Hammarby winger Bazoumana Toure.

Sitting well adrift of leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table, it is plausible that the North London duo could enter the market during the January transfer window.

Goals have not necessarily been a problem for either side, particularly Spurs who possess the best attacking record in the division after their 4-0 demolition of Manchester City on Saturday evening.

Nevertheless, at a time when the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations remain an issue for every club, identifying a prospect or bargain for future years is a popular route being taken.

Man City 'make decision' over whether to trigger Delap buyback clause

Manchester City have reportedly established whether they consider Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap to be a future transfer target.

The Premier League champions are currently enduring the worst run of the Pep Guardiola era, suffering five defeats in a row in all competitions.

Injuries to key players across defence and midfield is partly responsible, while an argument could be made that possessing an ever-ageing squad has proven to be another factor.

Nevertheless, with money in the bank from the sale of Julian Alvarez and an array of homegrown talent, Guardiola is in a position where he can strengthen his squad in January should he so wish.

Ancelotti sends Guler message amid Premier League interest in Real Madrid star

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has seemingly ended any chance of Arda Guler leaving the club during the January transfer window.

Guler is currently in his second season at the Bernabeu having completed a €20m transfer from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023.

However, the progress of the 19-year-old has been hampered by injuries and Ancelotti preferring to use the more experienced options at his disposal on a regular basis.

Nearly 18 months into his stint in Spain, Guler has been restricted to just nine starts and 16 substitute appearances in all competitions, leading to speculation regarding his future.
