AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has turned down the club's opening two offers over a new deal, according to a report.
The Italy international is due to be out of contract at the end of the season and his situation is being monitored by Manchester United.
Sky Sport Italia reports that there has been no breakthrough in talks between Donnarumma and Milan, possibly opening the door for United to pounce.
Milan are said to have initially offered the 22-year-old €6m (£5.17m) a year, plus a bonus of €1m (£853,000) should they qualify for the Champions League.
That was then increased to €7m (£5.97m) a year, plus the same bonus linked to a top-four finish in Serie A, which Donnarumma's camp again rejected.
The report indicates that the keeper is waiting for an improved offer, but that is only likely to happen once Milan secure a place in next season's Champions League.
United's Premier League rivals Chelsea have also been linked with Donnarumma in recent weeks. body check tags ::
