Manchester United will be offered Borussia Dortmund attacker Donyell Malen if Jadon Sancho leaves the club in January, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly be offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund attacker Donyell Malen during the January transfer window if Jadon Sancho leaves the club.

Sancho has not played for the Red Devils since the end of August due to his high-profile falling-out with head coach Erik ten Hag, and he is widely expected to move on at the start of 2024.

A recent report claimed that the Englishman would be open to remaining at Old Trafford, with incoming minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to make wholesale changes to the football department.

However, it is still thought to be likely that he moves on in January, with Juventus said to be at the head of the queue for his services.

According to FootballTransfers, should the ex-Manchester City depart, then Man United will be offered the chance to sign Malen from Dortmund.

The report claims that Malen has just signed with agency SEG, who have a close relationship with Red Devils head coach Ten Hag.

Kees Vos, who is in charge of the Dutch agency, is said to have played a leading role in bringing Rasmus Hojlund to Old Trafford from Atalanta BC over the summer.

A recent report claimed that some staff members at the club had become concerned by the influence of Vos, but Ten Hag rejected suggestions that he had become too involved when questioned earlier this season.

Dortmund are said to be ready to sell Malen in January, and the Netherlands international has emerged as a genuine replacement for Sancho.

The 24-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool, started his professional career at PSV Eindhoven, scoring 55 goals and registering 24 assists in 116 appearances for the club.

Malen moved to Dortmund in July 2021, and he has represented them on 91 occasions, scoring 24 goals and registering 16 assists in the process.

This season, the Dutchman has five goals and two assists in 18 appearances for BVB, including four goals in 12 Bundesliga outings.

Man United are also believed to be keen to move for a new centre-forward in January, with Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy seemingly emerging as their leading target. body check tags ::
