Manchester United have reportedly entered talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a potential £50m transfer for midfielder Christian Eriksen ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.
Spurs are willing to part ways with Eriksen, who only has one year left on his contract, in order to use the money from his sale to fund a move for Bruno Fernandes.
United have also been heavily linked with Fernandes, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer yet to add to the squad's midfield reinforcements this summer.
However, according to The Independent, United's attention has switched to Eriksen, with the Red Devils confident that they can strike a £50m deal for the Dane over the next 48 hours.
Real Madrid have reportedly expressed interest in Eriksen over the window, but this has cooled over the last week as the La Liga side target Donny van de Beek, leaving United as the only serious candidates to secure the 27-year-old's signature.
It is claimed that Eriksen, although initially reluctant to complete the switch to Old Trafford, is now keen on moving up north after growing more resolved in his desire to leave Spurs this summer.
