Middlesbrough are without Jonathan Woodgate for the visit of Derby County in the Championship as he nurses a hamstring injury.
Woodgate was substituted during last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Leicester City with the problem, and is replaced in the starting lineup by Seb Hines.
Derby manager Nigel Clough is also forced into an unwanted change as top scorer Jamie Ward misses out with a hamstring complaint of his own.
Ward and strike partner Conor Salmon both miss out, replaced by a new-look attack of Theo Robinson and Nathan Tyson.
Middlesbrough: Steele, Hoyte, Hines, Bikey, Friend, Leadbitter, McEachran, Thomson, Bailey, Williams, Jutkiewicz
