Millwall and Cardiff City have played out a goalless first period of football in their Championship clash this afternoon.
Neither side created too much of note inside the opening 10 minutes, with Shaun Williams firing wide for Millwall in what was the only real attempt on goal.
Millwall's Ed Upson had an attempt from distance three minutes later, but once again missed the target as both teams tried to settle into proceedings.
Cardiff's first chance arrived after 18 minutes when Peter Whittingham found John Brayford inside the Millwall box, but his effort was always rising over the crossbar.
Three minutes later, Cardiff forward Adam le Fondre broke into the Millwall box before lifting his effort over the onrushing goalkeeper David Forde, but the ball landed on the roof of the net.
Mark Beevers came close for the home side after 36 minutes after the centre-back met a deep corner, but once more the Welsh side managed to clear.
Le Fondre had another golden chance for the visitors late in the half, but the former Reading striker fired straight at Forde, who had also denied Craig Noone moments before.
