Relive Sports Mole's live text commentary of Napoli's 2-0 victory over Juventus in their Serie A match at the Stadio San Paolo.

Napoli have ended Juventus's 22-match unbeaten league run with a 2-0 victory at the Stadio San Paolo.

Jose Callejon and Marek Hamsik came close to scoring for the hosts early on, but they were kept out by Gianluigi Buffon.

In the 37th minute Napoli made their dominance count, as Callejon got on the end of Lorenzo Insigne's cross to give them the lead.

With nine minutes of the match left to play Dries Mertens made sure of the three points with a clinical finish past Buffon that boosts his side's hopes of finishing second.

Good evening and thank you for joining Sports Mole for live text commentary of the Serie A match between Napoli and Juventus at the Stadio San Paolo.
It is first against third this evening in Naples, as Juventus look to re-establish their 14 point lead at the top of the table. In their way tonight is Napoli, who are nine points ahead of Fiorentina in the table, and looking every likely to secure a place in next season's Champions League.
Juventus extended their winning run to seven league matches with 2-1 win against Parma in midweek, and they have not tasted a defeat in Serie A since October. They only need to win five of their remaining eight matches to be certain of a third-consecutive Scudetto.
Napoli were also in action on Wednesday evening, and they bounced back from two games without a win, to record a 4-2 victory against bottom of the league Catania. They still harbor hopes of a top-two finish in Serie A, but it will be a tough ask given the form of Roma, who claimed a 2-0 win over Sassuolo this afternoon.
NAPOLI XI: Reina, Henrique, Fernandez, Albiol, Ghoulam, Inler, Jorginho, Insigne, Hamsik, Callejon, Higuain
JUVENTUS XI: Buffon, Caceres, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah, Osvaldo, Llorente
NAPOLI TEAM NEWS: Gonzalo Higuain is back in the Napoli starting lineup this evening after being replaced by Duvan Zapata for their match against Catania in midweek. He leads the attack, with support from the flanks coming from Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon. Gokhan Inler returns to the midfield to play alongside Marek Hamsik, while Raul Albiol and Faouzi Ghoulam come into the defence.
JUVENTUS TEAM NEWS: Juventus are without the suspended Carlos Tevez, so Pablo Osvaldo is chosen to take his place upfront alongside Fernando Llorente. The visitors are also missing Andrea Barzagli, with Martin Caceres stepping into the defence. Antonio Conte has no further injury worries and the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba complete a strong starting XI.
When these two sides met in November in Turin, it was Juve who ran out 3-0 winners, with Fernando Llorente, Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba all getting on the scoresheet.
NAPOLI SUBS: Doblas, Colombo, Reveillere, Britos, Bariti, Mesto, Dzemaili, Radosevic, Behrami, Mertens, Pandev, Zapata
JUVENTUS SUBS: Storari, Rubinho, Marchisio, Vucinic, Giovinco, Padoin, Isla, Mattiello, Penna
PREDICTION: It will take a special display from Napoli if they are to end Juventus's 22-match unbeaten league run, but they will be encouraged by their first-half display against Catania. Meanwhile, the Old Lady have looked unstoppable in recent games and even when they are not at their best, they are capable of grinding out wins, as their inevitable march to the title continues. I fully expect the Bianconeri to claim another victory, with a hard-fought 1-0 win how I see this game ending.
We are not too far away from kick off now, with the action just minutes from getting started in Naples.
The players are just starting to make their way out of the tunnel, with the fans in good voice around the ground.
KICKOFF! We are underway at the Stadio San Paolo!
Juventus could have a problem in the opening stages of this match, as Vidal is down injured and receiving treatment. He was not involved in a challenge but went down in some discomfort. It would be a huge blow to the visitors if he has to come off.
Napoli have the first sight of goal in the game as Albiol wins a free header in the box from a corner, but he couldn't get enough power on his attempt to trouble Buffon.
SAVE! Buffon has proved just why he is still one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Inler's long range strike deflects through to Callejon who gets a shot in on goal, but the Juventus keeper brilliantly keeps out his attempt.
GOAL DISALLOWED! Having made such a wonderful save, Buffon almost gifts Napoli the lead as he spills a cross that is then tucked into the net by Hamsik, but the linesman had his flag raised for an offside.
SAVE! Napoli have started this game well and they come close to scoring again when Hamsik meets a cross in the middle and curls an effort goalwards, but Buffon is alert to tip the ball over the bar.
It has been all Napoli in the opening minutes of this match, but Juventus have finally had a spell of possession and it is only a poor touch from Osvaldo that brings their attack to an end on the edge of the box.
The hosts put together a flowing passing move and Ghoulam is fed out wide before delivering a cross that Asamoah just manages to head clear before Callejon can meet it at the back post.
Napoli are keeping possession high inside the Juve half and are confidently passing it around looking for an opening. The visitors haven't got started yet and are looking rather nervous at the back, with some of their best players giving the ball away extremely cheaply.
Pogba is cutting a frustrated figure and has escaped a booking on a couple of occasions now, with his most recent foul on Henrique angering Benitez on the sidelines.
Juventus will have the chance to get their first attempt on goal this evening, as Pogba goes down just outside the box following a challenge by Henrique. Pirlo has scored two wonderful free kicks recently and is standing over this one.
Pirlo does indeed take the set piece, but instead of going for goal, he chips a cross into the middle looking for his teammates, that goes straight through to Reina.
CHANCE! Juve finally show how much of a threat they can be in attack as Osvaldo shows good strength in the box to hold onto the ball. He lays it off for Lichtsteiner to shoot, but his low effort is comfortably gathered by Reina.
CHANCE! Napoli break at pace and Ghoulam does brilliantly to get down the left wing and pull the ball back across the box. His pass is just behind the run of Higuain, but comes for Callejon who drills in a strike that Buffon manages to beat away. If it wasn't for the keeper, Napoli would be comfortably ahead by now.
Llorente is inches away from connecting with Lichtsteiner's cross at the back post, but the ball is just out of his reach. Juventus are certainly looking more like a team who are top of the league, but every time they commit players forward Napoli are hoping to catch them out on the break.
YELLOW CARD! Inler is the first player to pick up a booking this evening for a crunching tackle on Chiellini.
GOAL! Napoli 1-0 Juventus (Callejon)
Napoli have taken the lead and it's a goal they fully deserve. Insigne swings in a cross from the left and Callejon gets in front of Asamoah to touch the ball past Buffon from close range. There wasn't much the keeper could have done that time, after keeping his side level for so long.
Juventus are rattled and Napoli are pressing forward looking for a second goal before the break. The champions have lost only once in the league all season, but will need to find some way of responding against quality opposition this evening.
CHANCE! Osvaldo tries to bring Juventus level with an acrobatic effort as we approach half time. He is picked out in the box by Lichtsteiner and tries an audacious overhead kick, but diverts his effort wide of the far post.
We are going to have one minute of stoppage time at the end of the half.
Napoli feel that they should have a penalty after Higuain goes down in the box under a challenge from Cheillini. It seems there was some contact, but the referee waves play on.
HALF-TIME: Napoli 1-0 Juventus
Juventus may be on their way to the title, but as things stand they are on course for a second league defeat of the season. Callejon's goal has given Napoli a well-deserved lead at the break and but for some fine saves from Buffon, they could well be out of sight.
The stats at half time go to show just how dominant Napoli have been in this match. They have seen a huge 62% of the possession and have had eight strikes on goal, which is double the amount their opponents have mustered.
Juventus have missed the impact of Tevez and look bereft of ideas in the final third. Vidal doesn't seem to be fully fit and Pirlo has not been able to get on the ball and take control of the game in the way that we know he can. Credit must go to Napoli though, who have closed down their opponents quickly and have taken the game to them from the very start.
If Napoli manage to hold on and win this evening, then they will move to within six points of second-place Roma and open up a 12 point gap between themselves and Fiorentina in the battle for third spot. Roma do have a game in hand, but with seven games left to play there is every chance they could snatch an automatic Champions League qualifying position.
The players are making their return to the pitch and the second 45 minutes will be starting shortly.
Napoli take the kick off and get the match back underway in Naples.
It has been a scrappy start to the second half with both teams committing a number of fouls and unable to get into a passing rhythm. It may not be too long until we see a change in the Juventus lineup.
Napoli waste a huge chance to score a second as Higuain runs onto a ball over the top, before twisting past Chiellini. He sees the run of Insigne at the back post and picks him out, but the winger loses the ball before he can get a shot away, with Juventus clearing the danger.
SUBSTITUTION: Juventus made the first change of the match, as Isla comes on to replace Asamoah.
Isla almost makes an immediate impact as he bursts down the right and drills in a low cross looking for Llorente, but Reina does well to get down low and cuts out the ball before it can reach the forward.
CHANCE! The visitors are starting to see the ball in more advanced positions now and Lichtsteiner finds some space inside the box, before bending in a low strike that is comfortably saved by Reina.
YELLOW CARD! Bonucci is booked for bringing down Hamsik just outside the box, after the Napoli captain had weaved his way past a couple of challenges.
SAVE! From the resulting set piece, Ghoulam whips in a fierce strike that Buffon does well to palm over the bar.
SUBSTITUTION: The visitors make their second substitution, and it's Pogba who makes way for Marchisio.
YELLOW CARD! Henrique is the next player to go into the book, after bringing down Osvaldo around 30 yards out from goal.
Pirlo again takes the free kick, but he hammers a strike high over the bar. It just hasn't been his or Juventus's night so far.
Juventus are struggling to find their forwards and their game is summed up by two poor over hit passes from the midfield. There won't have been too many occasions where Conte's men have played worse this campaign.
SUBSTITUTION: Juventus make their final change of the evening, with Vucinic coming on for Osvaldo.
SUBSTITUTION: Higuain heads off for the hosts and Pandev is brought on in his place.
Juventus almost manage to create a chance as Lichtsteiner's cross from the left is flicked on by Llorente, but it is just over the head of Marchisio at the back post and the ball harmlessly behind for a goal kick.
Napoli are being pushed deeper inside their own half and only a last ditch tackle from Ghoulam stops Isla from whipping a ball into the box.
CHANCE! The home side haven't threatened Buffon's goal as much as they did in the first half, but Hamsik collects the ball just outside the box, before curling in a low effort that forces Buffon into a save. The midfielder chose to try and place his effort into the bottom corner instead of getting any real power behind the strike, ensuring a relatively easy save for Italy's number one.
SUBSTITUTION: That shot has proved to be Hamsik's last piece of action this match as he is replaced by Mertens.
GOAL! Napoli 2-0 Juventus (Mertens)
Napoli are surely on their way to the three points now, and it's an immediate impact from the substitute! They break quickly from a Juventus corner and Mertens is found by Pandev. He manages to work himself some room and fires in a low strike across Buffon that finds the bottom corner, with the keeper left rooted to the spot.
Mertens is receiving some treatment on the touchlines after getting a boot to the face from Chiellini. The contact seemed purely accident as the defender went over him following a tackle, and he should be fine to continue.
SUBSTITUTION: Napoli bring off Callejon for the closing minutes, with Dzemaili taking his place.
We are going to have six minutes of stoppage time.
The hosts look to add a third goal in stoppage time with Mertens picking the ball up on the edge of the box and firing in a powerful strike that heads over the bar.
YELLOW CARD! Vidal is booked for diving after trying to win a penalty. He went down over the outstretched leg of Dzemaili, but there was no contact and he was rightly shown a card by the referee.
FULL-TIME: Napoli 2-0 Juventus
Juventus have lost for only the second time this season after a fine display from Napoli. Goals from Callejon and Mertens have given Rafael Benitez's side a 2-0 win in Naples, and boosted their own hopes of fishing in second place.
Antonio Conte will be desperately disappointed by the performance of his players, who never got started this evening. They were second best to every ball and never really looked like scoring. They are still on their way to the title, but this result will give hope to other teams in the league that they are far from invincible.
That's all we've got time for here. Please stay with us at Sports Mole for all of today's results and the latest breaking news. Until next time, goodbye!
