Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has claimed that his side can finish second in the Serie A table this season.
The Partenopei are currently third in the league and sit five points behind Roma, but they suffered a blow at the weekend by falling to a 3-1 defeat at Palermo.
"We've shown we can beat them in a single match, such as [the Supercoppa] in Doha," he told Canal+.
"As for second place, if we maintain our current push we have an excellent chance of achieving that.
"Much will depend on Roma, if there are further missteps from them, we'll be there, ready to take advantage."
Napoli are back in action on Thursday evening, when they visit Trabzonspor in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
