Napoli playmaker Marek Hamsik has revealed that new coach Rafael Benitez has set the Slovakian a target of 15 goals this season after a strong start to the campaign.
Hamsik has bagged a brace in both of Napoli's league games under the Spaniard, topping the Serie A goal charts at this early stage of the campaign.
The 26-year-old has hit double figures in each of his six seasons with the Azzurri, but is now relishing the challenge of taking his game to another level under the guidance of Benitez.
He told Corriere dello Sport: "I'm under no illusions. It is nice to be Serie A's leading scorer, but the strikers will now wake up.
"I'm delighted with how the term has begun, Benitez has asked me to score 15 goals and I feel I can do that."
Hamsik committed his future to Napoli last month by signing a new long-term contract, which ties him to the San Paolo Stadium until 2018.
