Napoli forward Goran Pandev believes that his side will be in a better position to challenge for the Serie A title next season.
Walter Mazzarri's team are likely to finish second this campaign as they are eight points behind leaders Juventus, who have a game in hand.
"It was important to win [against Pescara] and we did well to break the deadlock in the second half, as these were three precious points," Pandev told Sky Sport Italia.
"We missed Edinson Cavani, but we'll welcome him back with open arms next week against Inter. I think the thing we really lacked in the title race was consistency, as we got it wrong against quite a few smaller clubs this term.
"We are targeting the Scudetto next season, but right now we're happy to be second and want to keep hold of that until the end of the campaign."
Pandev joined Napoli from Inter Milan in August 2011.
