Former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo fetched the most money in auctions for an inaugural Indian football league based on the successful IPL cricket tournament.
The Argentine was purchased by Barasat for $840,000, while Italy's World Cup winning captain Fabio Cannavaro linked up with Siliguri for $830,000.
Robert Pires joined Howrah for $800,000 and former Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler cost Kolkata $530,000.
Fowler will be managed by former Sunderland boss Peter Reid.
Five city franchises will take place in the competition, which is due to start next month.
