Goals from Matt Jarvis and Kyle Lafferty helped Norwich City to a 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion in the League Cup this evening.
The hosts dominated the first half, as Dieumerci Mbokani sliced an effort wide, before Lewis Grabban cut inside from the left flank to test Anders Lindegaard in the West Brom goal.
Norwich almost took the lead as Gary O'Neil hit the post before Elliot Bennett scuffed his effort from the rebound.
Grabban and Andre Wisdom both tried their luck from distance before half time, but both were unable to break the deadlock.
After the break, Craig Gardner had West Brom's best effort of the match, as the midfielder produced a dipping effort from 30 yards that went just wide.
City took a deserved lead on 62 minutes through winger Jarvis, who was found by Mbokani before firing an effort off the underside of the crossbar and into the net.
Gardner came close to equalising moments later, but his diving header from a Sebastien Pocognoli cross went inches wide, before Mbokani fired over the bar at the other end of the pitch.
Norwich doubled their advantage on 85 minutes, as substitute Lafferty moved past Jonas Olsson before firing past Lindegaard.
The hosts wrapped up the victory four minutes later, as West Brom left-back Pocognoli sliced the ball into his own net for Norwich's third goal.
