Norwich City manager Alex Neil has revealed that he has been encouraged by his team's defensive performance over the past two games.
Two weeks ago, Newcastle United hit six goals past Norwich, but in fixtures against West Bromwich Albion and Everton, the Canaries have conceded just two goals in 210 minutes.
Neither match resulted in victory, but ahead of the trip to Premier League leaders Manchester City, Neil has insisted that his side are capable of causing a surprise at the Etihad Stadium.
The 34-year-old told reporters: "In the last couple of games we have been better defensively.
"West Ham went to Manchester City and got a result, so there's no reason why we can't give a good account of ourselves. If you get your players playing well, then there's no reason why you can't go there and get a result."
Norwich currently sit in 16th position in the table, three points above the relegation zone.
