Billy Davies has said that Nottingham Forest's strong Championship form will not help them in the FA Cup.
The club will host Premier League strugglers West Ham United in the third round of the tournament tomorrow.
The manager told the club's official website: "It's a cup game. League form and positions go out of the window. This is a one-off match on a day when whoever performs best goes through to the next round.
"No matter if it's against a Premier League side or a League Two side, every cup game is a good leveller. The players' attitudes have to be right.
"We've always prepared for what the opposition may do regarding team selection and tactics. We know it's a difficult match and we must prepare for what they do and who they are."
Forest are unbeaten in their last seven matches.
