Crawley Town had to weather several storms at SportsDirect.com Park this afternoon as they hung on for a League One point against Oldham Athletic.
It took Oldham just seven minutes to open the scoring through debutant Daniel Johnson, who joined the Latics on loan from Aston Villa earlier this week.
The 22-year-old burst into the area before coolly stroking home past Jamie Ashdown.
Mike Jones could not beat Ashdown as the home side looked to double their lead before they were stunned by a 25-yard strike by Gwion Edwards which levelled proceedings in the 41st minute.
Oldham dominated possession and had more chances in the second half but they could not find a winner, with Timothee Dieng guilty of heading wide from close range.
A point sees Oldham climb a place to eighth, but they could drop back to ninth by the end of the day.
Crawley, meanwhile, rise a couple of places to 13th, but could plunge come 5pm given the closeness of the table.
