Orlando City came from a goal down to beat New York City FC 2-1 at the Citrus Bowl on Friday evening.
Frank Lampard almost drilled the visitors ahead on six minutes, but the midfielder saw his rasping effort from outside the box fly just wide.
At the other end, Lewis Neal had the hosts' best chance of the first half when his left-footed curler from 12 yards out trickled wide of Josh Saunders's goal.
It was a costly miss as Kwame Watson-Siriboe curled home the opener in the second minute of added time to give New York a slender lead at the break.
Orlando responded well after the interval and ultimately levelled up on 62 minutes when Cyle Larin headed home Corey Ashe's cross.
Things got better for the hosts just eight minutes later when rookie Larin smashed home his and his team's second from close range to wrap up the victory.
