Parma have stretched their winning run in Serie A to four games by beating Udinese 1-0 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
The hosts came close in the opening stages when Antonio Cassano found Amauri in the box, but the striker headed wide of the post.
Walter Gargano and Afriyie Acquah then had chances to score for Parma, but both of them were denied by Zeljko Brkic.
Ten minutes before half time, the home side finally broke the deadlock. Cassano got to the touchline and saw his cross headed into the net by Amauri.
After the break the visitors threatened through Silvan Widmer, but he saw his strike kept out by Antonio Mirante.
Jonathan Biabiany and Jose Mauri both came close to extending Parma's lead in the closing stages, but had their respective efforts saved, as the hosts held on to the three points and moved up to seventh in the table.
