Parma have signed full-back Mattia Cassani on a short-term deal from Fiorentina.
The 29-year-old played just five league matches during a six-month loan spell with Genoa last season but is looking to revive his career at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
If all goes well, Gialloblu have the option of making Cassani's move a permanent transfer.
"Parma have taken defender Mattia Cassani from Fiorentina on a temporary deal with the option to buy," read a statement on the club's official website.
Cassani, who made his debut for Italy in a 1-0 win over Sweden in 2009, has won 11 caps for his country.
