Portland Timbers have finished top of the MLS Western Conference thanks to a 5-0 thumping of the beleaguered Chivas USA at the StubHub Centre.
Caleb Porter's men took the lead through Diego Valeri in the 16th minute, and it was the Argentinian midfielder who put them 2-0 ahead with just under half an hour played.
Rodney Wallace struck to make it 3-0 before half time, with Valeri this time assisting.
Ryan Johnson and Will Johnson scored within the space of four second-half minutes to complete the rout, which finish the season without a win in six games.
In contrast to their opponents, Jose Luis Real's side have finished bottom of the league, 18 points adrift of FC Dallas.
