Daniel Johnson's cool finish ensured that Preston North End are level at 1-1 with Championship leaders Ipswich Town at Deepdale.
Simon Grayson's men started on the front foot and Paul Huntington almost gave the home side the lead when he headed a corner narrowly over the bar, before Paul Gallagher forced Ipswich goalkeeper Dean Gerken into a good save.
However, despite Gallagher and Joe Garner fashioning plenty of openings for Preston, it was Ipswich who took the lead against the run of play.
Freddie Sears, a goalscorer in midweek, turned provider as his cross was met by former Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman, who headed home from 10 yards.
Preston were dealt a further blow minutes later when Greg Cunningham picked up a knock and had to be replaced by Callum Woods.
It didn't take too long for the home side to recover, and they equalised as Johnson calmly converted a swift counter-attack.
