Preston North End goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has spoken about his delight at making his England Under-21s debut.
Pickford, on loan at Preston from Sunderland, picked up a clean sheet in the 1-0 victory over USA on Thursday night.
"It was really good, the fans came out in force as well and it was a great honour and a privilege to make my debut," the 21-year-old told Preston's official website.
"I am really proud of it and to do it in Preston and to get a good reception was really pleasing too. As a keeper you want a clean sheet and then the lads came on and got the goal, so it was good all round.
"We only got together three days ago so it was a really good performance keeping a clean sheet and getting the win."
Pickford has played in every one of the Lilywhites' games this season.
