Queens Park Rangers' Brazilian midfielder Sandro has been ruled out until after Christmas with a knee ligament injury.
The 25-year-old limped off just after the hour mark in QPR's defeat at Newcastle United on Saturday.
"Sandro took a bad knock to his right knee, and has suffered damage to his medial ligaments," QPR's head of medical services Dr Peter Florida told the club website.
"It is totally unrelated to his previous ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injury."
Sandro has made eight appearances for the R's this season after joining from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.
