Queens Park Rangers responded to take a 1-1 draw in at half time at home to Carlisle United in the League Cup second round this evening.
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas fired a low shot at goal in the 10th minute, but the striker's attempt was well held by Carlisle keeper Mark Gillespie.
Derek Asamoah responded for Carlisle when he flashed an effort just wide almost immediately after Emmanuel-Thomas's chance for QPR.
Sebastian Polter's powerful run presented him with a shooting opportunity just after the half-hour mark, but the QPR man could only blast well over the bar from the edge of the box.
Junior Hoilett was next to try his luck for the R's but he could only skew his shot wide after jinking inside from a wide position.
However, it was the visitors who took the lead when Asamoah swept the ball home against the run of play shortly before the break.
Carlisle's lead was a short-lived one though, and it was Emmanuel-Thomas who struck his second QPR goal to even things up on 40 minutes.
