Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has admitted that he would "love" to sign a new contract with the club.
Reports emerged over the weekend claiming that the 31-year-old would be offered an extension to his current deal, which is due to expire next summer.
Barton helped the club to win promotion from the Championship last season, after a spell on loan at Marseille, and he has revealed that he is enjoying his time in West London.
"I'd love to [sign a new deal]," Sky Sports News quotes Barton as saying.
"I'm settled. I'm settled in the area and my family are settled. I love playing for the club and think I'm improving as a player. Why wouldn't I want to stay? But that's out of my hands."
Barton played the full 90 minutes of QPR's 1-0 defeat to Hull City at the weekend.
