Queens Park Rangers striker Bobby Zamora has revealed that he could make his return from a hip injury earlier than expected.
The 31-year-old had been expected to be out of action until February following surgery last month.
However, he could now be available for the Premier League strugglers at the end of January.
"I'd like to think I'll be back available in the next four or five weeks," Zamora told QPR's official website.
"I had an operation three weeks ago and am now working on getting fit. My fingers are crossed for a smooth recovery."
The R's, who picked up their first win of the season against Fulham last weekend, travel to Newcastle United on Saturday.
