Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has called upon the supporters to help the club retain their Premier League status.

Ahead of tonight's match against champions Manchester City, Redknapp's team are bottom of the Premier League table and five points from safety.

However, despite the deficit, Redknapp believes that the fans can play a major role in helping his players to bridge the gap.

"The QPR fans will play a huge role. When I think back to the win against Chelsea, the Rangers fans were unbelievable," he told The Insider. "They were packed into that end and they sang their hearts out from the first minute to the last.

"It was an amazing atmosphere that night and we'll need more of the same for the remainder of the season. They'll play a major part."

Redknapp took charge of the club last November from Mark Hughes.
