Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has insisted that the club's players should remain after they suffered relegation from the Premier League.
Barton, who is on loan at French side Marseille, was responding to a tweet from Stephane Mbia, who asked the Englishman: "@Joey7Barton Do you want rechange your seat with me ? #QPR #OM"
The 31-year-old was quick to answer the tweet, calling on Mbia to stay at Loftus Road to aid the club in the quest to seal promotion from the Championship.
Barton tweeted: "@StephaneMbia if you go down with a team. You should stay and help them up mate. They need you all to stick together an help them back. #QPR".
QPR are likely to sell many of their top earners before they commence their Championship campaign in August.
