Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has accused Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos of deliberately elbowing Mario Mandzukic in Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final.
In the second half of the first leg, Mandzukic picked up a bloodied nose in an aerial challenge with Ramos, which forced the Atletico striker to leave the field on a number of occasions.
Ramos has since denied that he intended to hurt the Croatian, but Godin has said that the elbow 'upset him'.
"I was upset by Ramos's elbow but that happens in a game and that's where it stays," Godin is quoted as saying by AS. "The referee is there to decide what's a foul and if they're yellow cards or not."
Atletico are unbeaten in their last seven games against Real Madrid, all of which have taken place this season.
