Atletico Madrid forward Mario Mandzukic has denied that he was bitten during Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid.
Following the match, images circled of Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal appearing to sink his teeth into the arm of the Croatian forward.
However, Mandzukic, who picked up a bloodied nose during a clash with Sergio Ramos, has insisted that there was 'no biting' at the Vicente Calderon.
"Good morning! It was a very tough game for us yesterday and both teams gave it everything. But for me, there was no controversy, nor biting, or anything else," Mandzukic wrote on his official Twitter account.
The second leg between the capital rivals will take place next week.
